How quickly do children learn to read with this app?

There is no set time that can be given with this app. This is a reading app designed to help a child learn to read and to continue reading because it is fun. It is recommended that daily use with parent participation will increase the learning process, as well as promote story time fun.

 

 

How did this app idea begin?

This app was created by a stay-at-dad with a 2 and 4 year old, pictured in the screenshot. The idea came from observing how much fun and enjoyment children have with photos of themselves with cameras and mobile devices. You add the enjoyment that children have with story time, and the idea of Photo Tales was born. By adding the two factors, you are able to maintain a child’s attention longer and increase their enjoyment in the interaction that they will be more willing to participate in the learning process.

 

 

What are some benefits of this app?

There are so many benefits with this app, with family time being at the top. You can take screen shots of each page to have a great keepsake to give to love ones or put into a time capsule to be read decades from now with the grandkids. The stories can be modified so it doesn't have to be the same story every time. By being able to change the stories, parents can also use the stories to test to see if a child is actually reading a story or just reciting what they remember due to constant repetition.

 

Will there be more languages available?

Photo Tales is currently downloaded all over the world, so gradually there are plans to add more languages over time to accommodate those users.
